Psychometric evaluation of the Indolent Systemic Mastocytosis Symptom Assessment Form (ISM-SAF©) and determination of a threshold score for moderate symptoms

open access: yesOrphanet Journal of Rare Diseases, 2023
Background The Indolent Systemic Mastocytosis Symptom Assessment Form (ISM-SAF) (©Blueprint Medicines Corporation), a 12-item daily diary that assesses 11 signs and symptoms of indolent systemic mastocytosis (ISM) and smoldering systemic mastocytosis ...

Strange Weak Values [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We develop a formal theory of the weak values with emphasis on the consistency conditions and a probabilistic interpretation in the counter-factual processes.

High-quality recycling through self-learning and resilient recycling networks using a combination of agent-based modelling and life cycle assessment [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2022
Especially in the case of long-lived products, the crucial questions about the proper implementation and assurance of high-quality recycling targets often only arise after decades.

Values-Based Leadership [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
It is imperative to underscore the urgent need for values-based leadership worldwide – in our governments, academic institutions, and businesses. The lack thereof explains the collapse of global companies such as Enron, Tyco, Lehman Brothers, WorldCom ...

Asymptotic truth-value laws in many-valued logics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
This paper studies which truth-values are most likely to be taken on finite models by arbitrary sentences of a many-valued predicate logic. We obtain generalizations of Fagin's classical zero-one law for any logic with values in a finite lattice-ordered algebra, and for some infinitely valued logics, including \L ukasiewicz logic.

Interpolated polynomial multiple zeta values of fixed weight, depth, and height [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We define the interpolated polynomial multiple zeta values as a generalization of all of multiple zeta values, multiple zeta-star values, interpolated multiple zeta values, symmetric multiple zeta values, and polynomial multiple zeta values. We then compute the generating function of the sum of interpolated polynomial multiple zeta values of fixed ...

Patient-Reported Outcomes in Metastatic Breast Cancer: A Review of Industry-Sponsored Clinical Trials

open access: yesBreast Cancer: Basic and Clinical Research, 2016
Introduction Patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures serve to capture vital patient information not otherwise obtained by primary study endpoints. This paper examines how PROs are utilized as endpoints in industry-sponsored metastatic breast cancer ...

The value of the four values

open access: yesArtificial Intelligence, 1998
AbstractIn his well-known paper “How computer should think” Belnap (1977) argues that four-valued semantics is a very suitable setting for computerized reasoning. In this paper we vindicate this thesis by showing that the logical role that the four-valued structure has among Ginsberg's bilattices is similar to the role that the two-valued algebra has ...
