Choroid plexus remodeling linked to impaired CSF‐mediated clearance and Alzheimer's disease progression

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Impaired cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) ‐mediated clearance has been implicated in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but how choroid plexus (ChP) remodeling relates to these processes in vivo remains incompletely understood. METHODS In a large ADNI cohort, we integrated structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), amyloid/tau positron emission

Cerebellar Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation in the Theta Band Prevents Recall of the Initial Fear Association After Extinction Training

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 8, June 1, 2026.
In this 3 T fMRI study, 6 Hz cerebellar transcranial alternating current stimulation (ctACS) was applied to modulate cerebellar function during extinction training in healthy participants. ctACS applied during extinction training reduced spontaneous fear recovery during recall.

skin nYou'd make 'em a size _ couple o' sizes too large for your foot, an' then you'd get on some vamps, we called 'em. Sometimes they'd have skin vamp, an' then a woolen one inside, beside the sock....YesDNE-cit J.D.A.

Replicability of Functional Brain Networks: A Study Through the Lens of Seven Resting‐State Networks

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 8, June 1, 2026.
This study assesses the impact of preprocessing pipeline, 0.01–0.1 Hz band‐pass filtering, and brain parcellation on the replicability of functional connectivity estimates in seven resting‐state networks for multi‐site fMRI data. We find large effects for pipeline and parcellation on FC estimates, while band‐pass filtering has little effect.

Mitigating the Impact of MR Sequence Parameters: Increasing the Robustness of DL‐Based Cortical Thickness Estimates

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 8, June 1, 2026.
Left: Our finetuned model reduces dependence on image contrast significantly (top), while conserving sensitivity to synthetic atrophy (bottom). Right: For the finetuning procedure, MRIs with varying grey‐white contrast were synthesized using Deichmann's equations on T1 and PD maps. The segmentation ground truth for all synthetic images was generated by

EV‐SPEC: Decoding the Spatial Proteomic Signature of the Extracellular Vesicle Corona

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study introduces ‘EV‑SPEC’, a spatial proteomics method using TurboID fused to the transmembrane protein CD63 to map the protein corona of extracellular vesicles (EVs) without physical isolation. We show that EV‐SPEC identifies the protein‐protein interaction footprint of serum proteins, similar to those typically found on synthetic nanoparticles,
