OPTIMASI PROSES MASERASI VANILI (Vanilla planifolia Andrews) HASIL MODIFIKASI PROSES KURING [Maceration Process Optimation of Vanili (Vanilla Planifolia Andrews) from Modified Curing]

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pangan, 2010
Modified cured vanilla was processed to vanilla extract by maceration method. The aim of this research were to optimize the method of maceration, type of vanilla bean with highest vanillin content, extraction solvent composition, and other variables that ...

The Problem With Efficiency as a Pervasive Principle in Business School Academia, and What a Sufficiency‐Based Approach Can Do Better

open access: yesBritish Journal of Management, EarlyView.
Abstract Efficiency is a pervasive yet insufficiently challenged managerial principle and an integral part of business school academia. However, while there is compelling evidence that efficiency gains can have severe undesirable social and ecological consequences that reduce overall welfare both in terms of well‐being and natural resources, business ...

KARAKTERISASI ENZIM B-GLUKOSIDASE VANILI [Characterization of B-glukosidase Enzyme from Vanilla Bean]

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pangan, 2007
The Indonesian natural vanilla is know for having a unigue woody, smooky, and phenolic flavor. Development of the aroma and flavor vanilla was formed by the action of a hydrolytic enzyme B-glucosidase on glucovanillin.

Ultra‐processed food supply in hospitals: A cross‐sectional analysis of Australian hospitals using cook fresh foodservices

open access: yesNutrition &Dietetics, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Ultra‐processed foods have been associated with a range of adverse health and environmental impacts, yet their supply in health‐promoting settings like hospitals remains largely unexamined. This study aimed to assess and quantify the proportion of ultra‐processed foods utilised in a sample of Australian hospitals using cook fresh ...

The dual crisis: Climate change simultaneously drives pollinator decline and pest outbreaks

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, EarlyView.
Climate change acts as an asymmetric ecological filter, favouring r‐selected pest traits (rapid reproduction, generalism) while disadvantaging K‐selected pollinators. For every 1°C of warming, bee species richness declines ~25% since the 1990s, while pest‐induced crop losses increase by 10%–25%. A network‐centric approach integrating climate‐responsive

Residual permutation tests for feature importance in machine learning

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Psychological research has traditionally relied on linear models to test scientific hypotheses. However, the emergence of machine learning (ML) algorithms has opened new opportunities for exploring variable relationships beyond linear constraints.

PSHead: 3D Head Reconstruction from a Single Image with Diffusion Prior and Self‐Enhancement

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We introduce PSHead, a coarse‐to‐fine framework guided by both object and face priors, to produce a Gaussian‐based 3D avatar for a single frontal‐view reference image. In the coarse stage, we create an initial 3D representation by applying diffusion models trained for general object generation, using Score Distillation Sampling losses over novel views.
