The concept of vibration damping of the variable mass assembly
An innovative method of damping vibrations using a variable mass assembly will be presented in this article. The concept was based on a physical pendulum model consisting of two connected elements.

Blow-up solutions with minimal mass for nonlinear Schrödinger equation with variable potential
This paper studies the mass-critical variable coefficient nonlinear Schrödinger equation. We first get the existence of the ground state by solving a minimization problem.

Coupled oscillators with variable mass
Abstract In this work the problem of two containers with variable mass coupled and aligned by springs is studied. The containers are filled with granular mass that lose at a constant rate. Once the containers have been emptied, the classic problem of coupled oscillators with constant mass is recovered.

Nucleosynthesis in thermonuclear supernovae with tracers: convergence and variable mass particles
Nucleosynthetic yield predictions for multi-dimensional simulations of thermonuclear supernovae generally rely on the tracer particle method to obtain isotopic information of the ejected material for a given supernova simulation.

Predictions of variable mass loss for Luminous Blue Variables [PDF]
We present radiation-driven wind models for Luminous Blue Variables (LBVs) and predict their mass-loss rates. We study the effects of lower masses and modified abundances in comparison to the normal OB supergiants, and we find that the main difference in

The classical many-body problem is not integrable, so perturbation theory based on an exact solution to the two-body problem is usually applied to investigate the dynamics of planetary systems.
