Varieties of signature tensors [PDF]
The signature of a parametric curve is a sequence of tensors whose entries are iterated integrals. This construction is central to the theory of rough paths in stochastic analysis. It is examined here through the lens of algebraic geometry.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

The character variety of one relator groups
We consider some families of one relator groups arising as fundamental groups of 3-dimensional manifolds, and calculate their character varieties in SL(2, C).

Finitely based varieties of pointed-groups
The links between finite basis results for varieties of pointed-groups and those for abstract groups are discussed. It is shown that every variety of nilpotent by abelian-of-finite-exponent pointed-groups is finitely ...

On representation varieties of 3–manifold groups [PDF]
© 2017, Mathematical Sciences Publishers. All rights reserved. We prove universality theorems (“Murphy’s laws”) for representation varieties of fundamental groups of closed 3-dimensional manifolds.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

On the \(K\)-groups of spherical varieties
Let \(B\) be a split connected solvable group over a field \(k\). Let \(X\) be a \(B\) variety with finitely many orbits. For \(i\in \mathcal{N}\), \(K_{i}'(X)\) (resp., \(K_{i}'(X,B))\)) denotes the \(i\)-th \(K\)-group of the category of coherent sheaves (resp., \(B\)-equivariant coherent sheaves) on \(X\). Furthermore, \(K_{i}(X,B)\) is the \(i\)-th

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

The peach is though considered to be a self fertile fruit species, also some self sterile and male sterile varieties have been registered. The latter type seems to be frequently met in Asian varieties, whereas in the USA and Europe, J. H.

CHOW GROUPS, CHOW COHOMOLOGY, AND LINEAR VARIETIES [PDF]
: We compute the Chow groups and the Fulton–MacPherson operational Chow cohomology ring for a class of singular rational varieties including toric varieties. The computation is closely related to the weight filtration on the ordinary cohomology of these
