A rank inequality for the Tate Conjecture over global function fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We present an observation of Ramakrishnan concerning the Tate Conjecture for varieties over a global function field (i.e., the function field of a smooth projecture curve over a finite field), which was pointed out during a lecture given at the AIM's ...

On the kernel of the reciprocity map of varieties over local fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This thesis is about higher dimensional class field theory of varieties over local and finite fields. Their abelianized étale fundamental group is compared with an attached class group via the reciprocity map, like in the classical case of a local or ...

Assessment of UAV Imageries for Estimating Growth Vitality, Yield and Quality of Hop (Humulus lupulus L.) Crops

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Hops are an essential raw material for beer production and the Czech Republic is not only a traditional hop grower but also participates in the breeding of varieties that are important on a global scale, mainly in terms of quality.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

A local-global principle for weak approximation on varieties over function fields

open access: yes, 2009
We present a new perspective on the weak approximation conjecture of Hassett and Tschinkel: formal sections of a rationally connected fibration over a curve can be approximated to arbitrary order by regular sections. The new approach involves the study of how ideal sheaves pullback to Cartier divisors.

Global aridity changes affect wheat quality and stress induced metabolites: a pioneering study by multiblock PLS-R analysis

open access: yesJournal of Agriculture and Food Research
A wealth of studies suggested that, as a result of climate changes, global aridity will increase over the 21st century due to the thermodynamic response of a warming atmosphere.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
