Morphological diversity of mountain papayas (Vasconcellea spp.) in Ecuador [PDF]
Babaco is the most important fruit crop among Ecuadorian mountain papayas. It belongs to Vasconcellea x heilbornii, which also includes plants with smaller fruit and interesting commercial perspectives, the baby-babacos.
