A geometrical model for testing bilateral symmetry of bamboo leaf with a simplified Gielis equation
A simplified Gielis model is used to describe bamboo leaf shapes. Leave shapes of 42 bamboo species exhibit a perfect bilateral symmetry. Abstract The size and shape of plant leaves change with growth, and an accurate description of leaf shape is crucial for describing plant morphogenesis and development.

Species relationships in the genus Vasconcellea (Caricaceae) based on molecular and morphological evidence [PDF]
Validity of the taxa currently recognized in the genus Vasconcellea was analyzed by investigating morphological and molecular data from 105 specimens of this genus and six specimens of the related genus Carica. Taxon identification of these specimens was compared with clustering in two phenetic dendrograms generated with 36 morphological characters and

The aim of this work was to assess and compare different extraction methods by using high hydrostatic pressure (HHPE), ultrasound (UE), agitation (AE), and their combinations for the extraction of bioactive compounds of Chilean papaya. Extract antioxidant capacity was evaluated by three methods (i.e., DPPH, FRAP, and Voltammetry) and phenolic compounds

Immunomodulatory Mechanisms of Chronic Wound Healing: Translational and Clinical Relevance
This graphical abstract illustrates the immunomodulation of chronic wounds through various therapeutic approaches aimed at regulating the immune response to promote healing. ABSTRACT Chronic wounds—such as diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), pressure ulcers (PUs), and venous leg ulcers (VLUs)—pose a serious clinical challenge due to their prolonged ...

Dietary Variability Among Mountain Gorilla Groups Across Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
Dietary variability among mountain gorilla groups in Volcanoes National Park (VNP) was analyzed to understand how habitat differences influence diet and whether diet quality accounts for variations in population growth rates. The study found distinct diets with minimal overlap between southwest and northeast groups but comparable nutrient ...
