変形性膝関節炎患者膝関節液中の細胞外マトリックス成分と可溶性VCAM-1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
It is generally accepted that the number of patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee must increase in the future because of the increase of the aged. The pathogenic mechanisms of OA haven't been elucidated yet, but it is supposed that mediate pannus

Aronia berry extract inhibits TNF-α-induced vascular endothelial inflammation through the regulation of STAT3

open access: yesFood & Nutrition Research, 2019
Background: Inflammation in endothelial cells induces production of inflammatory cytokines and monocytes adhesion, which are crucial events in the initiation of atherosclerosis.

Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Thrombogenic Properties of Arterial Elastic Laminae

open access: yesBioengineering, 2023
Elastic laminae, an elastin-based, layered extracellular matrix structure in the media of arteries, can inhibit leukocyte adhesion and vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombogenic properties.

Immunolocalization of Vascular Adhesion Protein-1 in Human Conjunctival Tumors

open access: yesOphthalmic Research, 2012
Objective: We analyzed the expression and immunolocalization of vascular adhesion protein (VAP)-1 in conjunctival tumors and normal conjunctival tissue of humans. Methods: Nine conjunctival tumors, including pyogenic granuloma and extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (EMZL), and 2 normal conjunctivas were ...

12(S)‐hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid impairs vascular endothelial permeability by altering adherens junction phosphorylation levels and affecting the binding and dissociation of its components in high glucose‐induced vascular injury

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, 2019
Aims/Introduction Diabetes is an important risk factor for atherosclerotic disease. The initiating factor of atherosclerosis is local endothelial cell injury.

Chlorella 11-Peptide Inhibits the Production of Macrophage-Induced Adhesion Molecules and Reduces Endothelin-1 Expression and Endothelial Permeability

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2013
The inflammation process in large vessels involves the up-regulation of vascular adhesion molecules such as endothelial cell selectin (E-selectin), intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) which are ...

Adhesion of endothelial cells and adsorption of serum proteins on gas plasma-treated polytetrafluoroethylene [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
From in vitro experiments it is known that human endothelial cells show poor adhesion to hydrophobic polymers. The hydrophobicity of vascular prostheses manufactured from Teflon® or Dacron® may be the reason why endothelialization of these grafts does ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

The GRK2/AP‐1 Signaling Axis Mediates Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction and Atherosclerosis Induced by Oscillatory Low Shear Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Disturbed blood flow and the resulting oscillatory low shear stress (OSS) are key contributors to vascular endothelial dysfunction and the initiation of atherosclerosis.
