Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Ferroptosis is a novel form of regulated cell death characterized by the iron-dependent accumulation of lipid peroxides. Recent research has suggested that ferroptosis in osteoblasts contributes to steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SONFH)

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Isolated Mesenteric Vascular Injury Due to Seatbelt Trauma
Mesenteric vascular injuries following blunt abdominal trauma are uncommon and difficult to diagnose. A 33-year old restrained front seat passenger presented with chest and abdominal pain following a head-on collision. Initial evaluation was unremarkable

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

The effect of football (soccer) heading on gross and fine motor control in women
IntroductionHeading is an integral component of football, but concerns remain about its impact on brain health. This study examines the acute effects of heading on gross and fine motor control as a measure of the motor-cognitive function of women ...

ObjectiveDiabetes pathology relies on exosomes (Exos). This study investigated how peripheral blood Exo-containing microRNAs (miRNAs) cause vascular injury in type 2 diabetes (T2D).MethodsWe removed DEmiRNA from T2D chip data from the GEO database.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches.
