MRAS Based Sensorless and Sensor Vector Control and Smooth Transient Between Them

open access: yesCommunications, 2011
Dynamic control, like vector control is an essential feature of every modern AC drive. In some cases it might be very important to provide continuous operation in case of encoder failure.

Virtual Frequency Construction-Based Vector Current Control for Grid-Tied Inverter Under Imbalanced Voltage

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper proposes a fast phase capture (FPC) scheme and applies it to the control strategy of grid-tied inverters under imbalanced voltage. Firstly, a method for quickly extracting sequence components of power signals is derived through the symmetrical

A Dual-Voltage-Vector Model-Free Predictive Current Controller for Synchronous Reluctance Motor Drive Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
For current control in power conversion and motor drive systems, there exist three classic methods in the literature and they are the hysteresis current control (HCC), the sine pulse-width modulation (SPWM), and the space vector pulse width modulation ...

Simplified current minimization control of vector controlled Interior Permanent Magnet motor

open access: yesSādhanā, 2018
This paper presents a simplified current minimizing technique for Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor. This is primarily achieved by utilizing normalized 2D-Look Up Table (LUT) that is parameter independent except for saliency ratio. In addition, torque-flux reference frame is considered for implementation to reduce the complexity generally present ...

Hysteresis current control of a vector controlled induction motor and DTC: an assessment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electronics, 2004
This paper presents the speed control of an induction motor using nonlinear current control in rotating coordinates. Two hysteresis comparators and the position of the motor flux are used to generate directly the gate pulses for the power transistors of the inverter.
