CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

The Potential for a GPU-Like Overlay Architecture for FPGAs

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reconfigurable Computing, 2011
We propose a soft processor programming model and architecture inspired by graphics processing units (GPUs) that are well-matched to the strengths of FPGAs, namely, highly parallel and pipelinable computation.

FPGA-based vector processor for algebraic equation solvers

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper, a vector unit tightly coupled with a five-stage pipelined scalar processor is designed and implemented on an FPGA platform. This system supports IEEE 754 single-precision floating-point calculations and sparse matrix operations.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Time Series Modeling with Duration Dependent Markov-Switching Vector Autoregressions: MCMC Inference, Software and Applications [PDF]

open access: yes
Duration dependent Markov-switching VAR (DDMS-VAR) models are time series models with data generating process consisting in a mixture of two VAR processes, which switches according to a two-state Markov chain with transition probabilities depending on ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

New virtually scaling free adaptive CORDIC rotator

open access: yes, 2004
In this article we propose a novel CORDIC rotator algorithm that eliminates the problems of scale factor compensation and limited range of convergence associated with the classical CORDIC algorithm.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Using Dynamic-Length Vector Operations to Efficiently Emulate Fixed-Length Vector Operations

open access: yesСовременные информационные технологии и IT-образование
Using vector registers can significantly enhance processor performance, especially in tasks that involve parallel data processing. To ensure code portability across different architectures, developers often use third-party libraries.

Wind speed estimation of low-altitude wind shear based on combined space–time main channel adaptive processing

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study presents a low-altitude wind shear speed estimation method based on combined space–time main channel adaptive processing. The method first reduces the dimension of the radar echo data of the measured range unit by constructing a dimension ...
