Using R in Taverna: RShell v1.2

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2009
Background R is the statistical language commonly used by many life scientists in (omics) data analysis. At the same time, these complex analyses benefit from a workflow approach, such as used by the open source workflow management system Taverna ...

Vector processor services for local area networks

open access: yes, 2009
Vector processors conventionally have been used as an attached processor to a host computer. Within this limited scope, the application programmer must use the host computer in order to benefit from the vector processor resources.

Fourier optical limits of coherent acousto-optic matrix-vector processor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We characterize the bounds on numerical accuracy that a finite acoustic beam height will have on an analog acousto- optic algebra processor that uses coherent illumination.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Parallel Multi-Class Contour Preserving Classification

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Systems, 2017
Serial multi-class contour preserving classification can improve the representation of the contour of the data to improve the levels of classification accuracy for feed-forward neural network (FFNN).

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Quark: an integer RISC-V vector processor for sub-byte quantized DNN inference

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we present Quark, an integer RISC-V vector processor specifically tailored for sub-byte DNN inference. Quark is implemented in GlobalFoundries' 22FDX FD-SOI technology.
