Vehicle Dynamics Control for Commercial Vehicles
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1997<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper presents the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) for commercial vehicles developed by BOSCH. The underlying physical concept is discussed in the second section after a short introduction. The third section shows the computer simulation used in the development process.

Coordinated vehicle dynamics control with control distribution
2006 American Control Conference, 2006This paper investigates a hierarchically coordinated vehicle dynamics control approach with individual wheel torque and steering actuation. A high-level robust nonlinear sliding mode controller is designed to determine the generalized forces/moments required to achieve vehicle motion objectives. A weighted pseudo-inverse based control allocation method

Dynamics and Control of a Vehicle-Manipulator System
Proceedings of the Advances in Robotics, 2017In this paper, dynamics of a vehicle-manipulator system has been formulated using the NOC-based approach. The formulated dynamics was further used in computed torque control and adaptive control. Task priority redundancy resolution based method was used for kinematic control of multiple tasks.

Control and planning for vehicles with uncertainty in dynamics
2010 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2010This paper describes a motion planning algorithm that accounts for uncertainty in the dynamics of vehicles. This noise is a function of the type of controller employed on the vehicle and the characteristics of the terrain and can cause the robot to deviate from a planned trajectory and collide with obstacles.

Unmanned ground vehicle: controls and dynamics
SPIE Proceedings, 2014We have developed a ground vehicle capable of maneuvering in an open environment negotiating outdoor obstacle course autonomously carrying a payload by finding colored lanes, obstructions and navigating through GPS waypoints. In this paper, we will be discussing the hardware components like mechanical and electrical design, various sensors used and ...

Coordinated and Reconfigurable Vehicle Dynamics Control
IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 2009A coordinated reconfigurable vehicle dynamics control (CRVDC) system is achieved by high-level control of generalized forces/moment, distributed to the slip and slip angle of each tire by an innovative control allocation (CA) scheme. Utilizing control of individual tire slip and slip angles helps resolve the inherent tire force nonlinear constraints ...

Vehicle dynamics decentralized networked control
2015 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE), 2015This paper deals with the networked decentralized control problem for vehicle dynamics stability. Firstly, the nonlinear roll, sideslip, Yaw model of the vehicle dynamics is represented by an interconnected Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model. Secondly, using a fuzzy Lyapunov- Krasovskii functional, asymptotic stability sufficient conditions of vehicle ...

Control Design for Vehicle's Lateral Dynamics
2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2006issues of controllability and stabilization design for vehicle's lateral dynamics are presented. Based on the assumption of constant driving speed, a second-order nonlinear lateral dynamical model is obtained. It is observed that saddle node bifurcation will appear in vehicle dynamics with respect to the variation of the front wheel steering angle ...

Modeling of commercial vehicles for vehicle dynamics control development
2014 IEEE 9th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI), 2014Commercial vehicle modeling strategies are presented in this paper. Models created are suitable for vehicle dynamics control development, computationally efficient, and well-structured. Important feature of the models is that they can easily support a huge number of possible vehicle variants with different geometrical and structural requirements. Model
