We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Improvement of the Full-Range Equation for Wave Boundary Layer Thickness
In order to improve the accuracy of the original full-range equation for wave boundary layer thickness, with special reference to increasing its applicability to tsunami-scale waves, a theoretical investigation is carried out to derive a dimensionless ...

On the front shape of an inertial granular flow down a rough incline
Granular material flowing on complex topographies are ubiquitous in industrial and geophysical situations. In this paper, we study the small-scale model of a granular layer flowing on a rough incline.

All black holes in Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi inhomogeneous dust collapse [PDF]
Within the Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi formalism for gravitational collapse of inhomogeneous dust we analyze the parameter space that leads to the formation of a globally covered singularity (i.e.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Results of Jet Fan Tests using Experimental and Numerical Techniques
Aim: The aim of the experiments was to check if different jet fans with similar parameters had a similar air flow profile. The study was also aimed at testing whether normal and reverse flow direction have the same profile.

Analogue gravity and radial fluid flows: The case of AdS and its deformations
An analogue model for the $\text{AdS}_2$ spacetime has been recently introduced by Mosna, Pitelli and Richartz [Phys. Rev. D 94, 104065 (2016)] by considering sound waves propagating on a fluid with an ill-defined velocity profile at its source/sink. The

A new method of measuring center-of-mass velocities of radially pulsating stars from high-resolution spectroscopy [PDF]
We present a radial velocity analysis of 20 solar neighborhood RR Lyrae and 3 Population II Cepheids variables. We obtained high-resolution, moderate-to-high signal-to-noise ratio spectra for most stars and obtained spectra were covering different ...
