Vericiguat, nuevo pilar en el tratamiento de la insuficiencia cardiaca con fracción de eyección reducida [PDF]
Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is associated with high morbidity and mortality, conditioned by multiple hospitalizations. Vericiguat has currently beenshown to be effective and safe in patients with a recent decompensation.

Renal function and the effects of vericiguat in patients with worsening heart failure with reduced ejection fraction : insights from the VICTORIA (Vericiguat Global Study in Subjects with HFrEF) trial [PDF]
Aims Vericiguat reduced the primary composite outcome of cardiovascular death or heart failure (HF) hospitalization in patients with worsening HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and a lower limit of baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate ...

Implementation of guideline‐recommended medical therapy for patients with heart failure in Europe
Abstract Physicians' adherence to guideline‐recommended heart failure (HF) treatment remains suboptimal, especially regarding the target doses. In particular, there is evidence that non‐cardiologists are less compliant with HF guideline recommendations. This is likely to have a detrimental impact on patients' survival, readmissions and quality of life.

Abstract Background and Purpose Anthracyclines such as doxorubicin (DOXO) remain a cornerstone of cancer therapy but are associated with a high risk of cardiotoxicity and subsequent heart failure (HF). Impairment of NO/soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC)/cGMP pathway has been reported in anthracycline‐induced cardiomyopathy.

Four new Schiff bases derived from 2‐chloro‐5‐(trifluoromethyl)aniline and their corresponding palladium(II) complexes were obtained and analyzed by multiple spectroscopic techniques. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction elucidated the structures of all the ligands and complexes 2 and 4. Their toxicity was assessed on Triticum aestivum L.
