Colon microbiota and metabolite potential impact on tail fat deposition of Altay sheep
Tail fat deposition of Altay sheep not only increased the cost of feeding but also reduced the economic value of meat. Currently, because artificial tail removal and gene modification methods cannot solve this problem, it is maybe to consider reducing ...

Gut‐microbiota‐brain Axis and post‐traumatic epilepsy
Abstract There has been growing evidence that perturbations in gut‐microbiota‐brain axis (GMBA) are involved in mechanisms of chronic sequelae of traumatic brain injury (TBI). This review discusses the connection between GMBA and post‐traumatic epilepsy (PTE), the latter being a common outcome of TBI.

Abstract The intestinal microbiome plays a pivotal role in maintaining host health through its involvement in gastrointestinal, immune, and central nervous system (CNS) functions. Recent evidence underscores the bidirectional communication between the microbiota, the gut, and the brain and the impact of this axis on neurological diseases, including ...

Construction of Chronic Kidney Disease Mouse Model Induced by Diets With Different Adenine Content
By administering a 4 weeks adenine diet to C57BL/6J mice, we identified 0.2% adenine in purified feed as the optimal chronic kidney disease model. This model induces severe renal damage, gut dysbiosis, uremic toxin accumulation, and CKD mineral bone disorder, providing a clinically relevant platform for mechanistic and therapeutic studies.

In this review, we critically summarized the application of natural polysaccharides (NPs) for the treatment of IBD. This approach combines, in a unique way (right), the basic structure–activity relationships of NPs from different origins (left) with their multipronged mode of action, which involves modulation of the gut microbiota and other ...

Argonaute (Ago) proteins are conserved programmable nucleases present in eukaryotes and prokaryotes and provide defense against mobile genetic elements. Almost all characterized pAgos prefer to cleave DNA targets.
