GPSM2 Promotes Pancreatic Cancer Progression Through METTL3-Mediated m6A Modification of YAP1 mRNA. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Cell Mol Med
ABSTRACT Pancreatic cancer poses a major therapeutic challenge due to its insidious onset and difficulty in early diagnosis. G‐protein signalling modulator 2 (GPSM2), a member of the G‐protein signalling regulator family, is highly expressed in various tumour tissues; however, its role in pancreatic cancer remains largely undefined.

Airborne 1O2 Delivery via a Superhydrophobic Dressing as a Pathway to Next-Generation Wound Therapies, an In Vivo Murine Burn Model Study. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Healthc Mater
Schematic illustration of the SH bandage placed on an infected burn wound and its role in wound healing. A superhydrophobic PDMS membrane coated with the PS verteporfin is placed over the wound area and illuminated with a red laser at 690 nm, generating airborne 1O2 above the tissue.

Comparison between the functional and anatomical outcomes of full-dose, half-dose photodynamic therapy and intravitreal bevacizumab in chronic central serous chorioretinopathy

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society, 2015
Purpose The aim of the present study was to compare the efficacy of full-dose, half-dose photodynamic therapy (PDT) and intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) injection in treatment of chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CCSC). Design The current study was

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Inhibiting YAP in Endothelial Cells From Entering the Nucleus Attenuates Blood-Brain Barrier Damage During Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2021
Blood-brain barrier (BBB) damage is a critical event in ischemic stroke, contributing to aggravated brain damage. Endothelial cell form a major component of the BBB, but its regulation in stroke has yet to be clarified.

PDGFRα+/Integrin α2+ Fibroblasts Orchestrate Tumor Budding in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma via Mechano‐Metabolic Symbiosis: E‐Cadherin/Integrin α2β1 Adhesion and Mitochondrial Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PDGFA/PDGFRα signaling recruits CAFs to OSCC nests, and CAF‐OSCC contact drives tumor budding invasion. Mechanistically, heterotypic adhesion via E‐cadherin/integrin α2β1 activates YAP signaling in OSCC cells, inducing EMT. Concurrently, CAFs transfer mitochondria through TNTs, supplying ATP to fuel invasion.
