Growth of gallium antimonide by vertical Bridgman technique with planar crystal-melt interface

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1994
High quality single crystals of GaSb were grown using vertical Bridgman technique with a planar melt-solid interface. Various factors affecting the interface shape during growth were investigated. In general, the shape of the freezing isotherm was found to depend on the furnace temperature profile near the melt-solid interface, the ampoule lowering ...

Solution growth of In-doped CdMnTe crystals by the vertical Bridgman method with the ACRT technique

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2012
Abstract Cd 1− x Mn x Te (CdMnTe) crystals were grown by the solution technique using Te as a solvent and the growth was performed in a vertical Bridgman arrangement with the accelerated crucible rotation technique (ACRT). Ingot in the diameter of 30 mm and length of 60 mm was obtained.

Influence of insulation on stability of interface shape and position in the vertical Bridgman-Stockbarger technique

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1980
Abstract The temperature field was calculated inside a vertical Bridgman-Stockbarger growth ampoule with insulation between the heater and the cooler. The isotherms in the insulated region are relatively planar. The sensitivity of the interface shape to system perturbations decreases dramatically with increasing thickness of the insulation, while the

Modeling the Solute Segregation in Vertical Bridgman Growth by Using Free-Surface Technique

Crystal Research and Technology, 2001
In this paper, the solute segregation in vertical Bridgman growth of semiconductor diluted alloys is studied by using numerical simulation. The purpose of this work is the 2D axi-symmetric modeling of the transient solidification process of these crystals.

Thermal kinetic and dielectric parameters of acenaphthene crystal grown by vertical Bridgman technique

Applied Physics A, 2016
The bulk acenaphthene crystal was grown in a single-wall ampoule by vertical Bridgman technique. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the orthorhombic crystal system of title compound with space group Pcm21. Thermal behavior of compound was studied using thermogravimetry—differential scanning calorimetry analysis.

THE p-TERPHENYL SINGLE CRYSTAL GROWN BY THE SELF-SEEDING VERTICAL BRIDGMAN TECHNIQUE

Problems of Atomic Science and Technology
The single crystals of p-terphenyl with high scintillation and optical properties were grown using the modified self-seeding vertical Bridgman method. Unlike the classical self-seeding vertical Bridgman (SSVB) method, where crystal growth occurs from a single point in the ampoule, the modified method involves the spontaneous nucleation of the single ...

Growth and characterization of organic material 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde single crystal by modified vertical Bridgman technique

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2012
Novel organic nonlinear optical (NLO) material 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde (3HBA) single crystals have been grown by modified vertical Bridgman technique using the single and double wall ampoules with nano translation. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that 3HBA crystallizes in orthorhombic system and the powder X-ray diffraction (XRD ...
