Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

A Fusion–Growth Protocell Model Based on Vesicle Interactions with Pyrite Particles
Protocell models play a pivotal role in the exploration of the origin of life. Vesicles are one type of protocell model that have attracted much attention.

This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Effect of Interactions Between Anionic Vesicles and a Cationic Terpolymer in Concentrated Solution Regime: Morphology and Size Changes of the Vesicular Particles [PDF]
Interactions between polyelectrolytes and oppositely charged vesicular particles have many possible applications in drug delivery or gene therapy. Formation of vesicular structures by 2-(propylcarbamoyl) terephthalic acid heptaisobutyl POSS (POSS DCA) in

Vesicles in magnetic fields [PDF]
Liposome vesicles tend to align with an applied magnetic field. This is due to the directional magnetic susceptibility difference of the lipids which form the membrane of these vesicles. In this work a model of liposome vesicles exposed to magnetic field is presented.

Synaptic vesicle phosphoproteins and regulation of synaptic function.
Complex brain functions, such as learning and memory, are believed to involve changes in the efficiency of communication between nerve cells. Therefore, the elucidation of the molecular mechanisms that regulate synaptic transmission, the process of ...

A Primer on Vesicle Budding [PDF]
A basic scheme of transport vesicle formation is beginning to emerge (Figure 1Figure 1). Its central feature is the priming complex: an association of a small GTPase, a primer protein, and one or several other subunits of the vesicular coat, including a GTPase-activating protein.
