Vibration characteristics of ±800 kV converter transformers part I: Under no-load conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
For lack of study on the vibration characteristics of converter transformers, this paper studied the vibration signal analysis method and investigated the vibration characteristics of converter transformers during the commissioning of a ±800 kV converter

Vibrational characteristics of Balinese gamelan metallophones [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2010
A study of the eight metallophone pairs from a Balinese gamelan semara dana has been conducted. Acoustical recordings of metallophone bars being struck were used to examine ratios of overtone frequencies to the fundamental. Results showed large variability in the number and ratios of overtones present.

Magnetostrictive Vibration Characteristics of Amorphous Alloy Transformer With Three-Dimensional Wound Core

open access: yesIEEE Access
The amorphous alloy transformer with three-dimensional wound core (TDWC) is a new type of transformer structure. Compared with the traditional three-phase five-column transformer with planar wound core (PWC), the TDWC structure exhibits a fully ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Study on the Time–Frequency Characteristics of Excitation Inrush Current and Its Induced Converter Transformer Vibration

open access: yesApplied Sciences
An inrush current will be generated inside a converter transformer during no-load switching on or off. The inrush current will cause severe vibration of the winding and other components of the converter transformer.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
