This review outlines how understanding bone's biology, hierarchical architecture, and mechanical anisotropy informs the design of lattice structures that replicate bone morphology and mechanical behavior. Additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of orthopedic implants that incorporate such structures using a range of engineering materials ...

Anti‐Slip Material‐Based Strategies and Approaches
This review highlights the principle mechanisms of slipping at the microscale, linking contact mechanics with a friction behavior model for surface interfaces. Main strategies to develop anti‐slip properties to the surfaces are discussed alongside standardized testing approaches.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Non‐Invasive Multidimensional Capacitive Sensing for In Vivo Traumatic Brain Injury Monitoring
Single‐electrode, multidimensional capacitive sensors noninvasively assess cerebral autoregulation and compliance for traumatic brain injury monitoring. ABSTRACT Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of death and disability, but invasive intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring is risky, and current non‐invasive methods lack the resolution and ...

Control Synchronization of Two Nonidentical Homodromy Exciters in Nonlinear Coupled Vibration System
In order to analyze synchronization control problems of two non-identical homodromy eccentric rotors (ERs) in a nonlinearly coupled system of vibrating machinery-part (NCS-VMP), a new electromechanical coupling nonlinear dynamic model considering ...

Adhesive Double‐Network Granular Organogel E‐Skin
We introduce a double‐network granular organogel adhesive for electronic skin, overcoming adhesion and strength trade‐offs. It provides reversible, robust bonding and ionic conductivity, enabling wearable and soft robotic e‐skin. Thanks to the e‐skin adhesive, a soft robotic trunk can recognize touch, temperature, humidity, and acidity.

A time-domain substructure synthesis for finite rotations of flexible mechanical systems
This paper presents a floating IBS method for dynamic prediction of structures with finite rotations. The conventional IBS (impulse-based substructuring) method is efficient and accurate in structural transient impact analysis.

Simulation of Fretting Fatigue in Conformal and Concentrated Contacts
Fretting fatigue is a possible failure mode of rolling bearings, as well as for other machine elements with contacts. For a rotating bearing it normally can occur in the interfaces between outer ring/housing, and inner ring/shaft.
