Geomagnetic and ionospheric data analysis over Antarctica: a contribution to the long term trends investigation [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2008
The analysis of the foF2 ionosonde data acquired at mid and high latitudes reveals a general decreasing of the F2 plasma frequency over more than two solar cycles, showing steeper trends over the high latitude stations and, in particular, over ...

Functional Bread From Bambara Groundnut and Orange Peel Attenuates Hyperglycemia and Oxidative Stress in a High‐Fat Diet/Streptozotocin‐Induced Type 2 Diabetes Rat Model

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
This study evaluated Bambara groundnut–wheat composite bread fortified with orange peel in diabetic rats. Diets significantly lowered blood glucose, inhibited α‐glucosidase and α‐amylase, and boosted antioxidant enzymes compared to controls. Results emphasize BG‐based functional foods' potential to help manage type 2 diabetes through regulation of ...

Multiscale Features of Magnetic Field Fluctuations and Field-Aligned Currents in the Polar Ionosphere: A Case Study

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
Complexity is a typical feature of space plasmas that may involve the formation of multiscale coherent magnetic and plasma structures. The winding features (pseudo-polarization) of magnetic field fluctuations at different spatial scales are a useful ...

Functional and physicochemical properties of proteins isolated from four different pulses

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, EarlyView.
Proteins from four pulses viz. pinto bean, cow pea, pigeon pea, and navy bean were isolated and characterized. Pinto bean protein showed the highest oil absorption capacity and solubility. Pinto bean protein exhibited the highest emulsion capacity and foaming capacity. Cow pea protein showed the highest in vitro protein digestibility.

Rumen methanogenic archaea and their correlation with enteric methane emission in ruminant animals: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesJSFA reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Livestock, especially ruminants, are a major source of global methane emissions, primarily produced by methanogenic archaea during enteric fermentation. We performed a systematic review and meta‐analysis to account for factors that could influence the relationship between ruminal methanogenic populations and methane emissions, such ...

Inter-Calibration and Statistical Validation of Topside Ionosphere Electron Density Observations Made by CSES-01 Mission

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES-01) provides in situ electron density (Ne) observations through Langmuir probes (LPs) in the topside ionosphere since February 2018. CSES-01 is a sun-synchronous satellite probing the ionosphere around two
