[Alkaloids of Vinca rosea L. introduced to Western Georgia].
Georgian medical news, 2014Vinca roseae L. (Саtharanthus rosea (L.) G. Don) was introduced at Kobuleti experimental station of medical plants. The object of investigation was the plant material of Vinca roseae L. collected in May, 2005., September, 2006 and October, 2009. Total alkaloids were obtained in accordance with Atta- ur-Rachman method.

Hypoglycemic and antihyperglycemic effect of leaves of Vinca rosea linn.
Indian journal of physiology and pharmacology, 1992Oral administration of water fraction of alcoholic extract of leaves of Vinca rosea (fam. apocynaeceae) led to marked lowering of blood glucose level in normal and streptozotocin induced diabetic rats. The hypoglycemic effect of the fraction was comparable with that of tolbutamide.
