Embryonal Paratesticular Rhabdomyosarcoma Masquerading as an Inguinal Hernia: A Case Report. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Case Rep
ABSTRACT Embryonal paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma can mimic benign inguinoscrotal conditions such as inguinal hernia. In children with persistent, painless scrotal masses, early cross‐sectional imaging and prompt radical inguinal orchiectomy with histopathological confirmation are essential.

Machine learning‐driven investigation on liquid–liquid phase separation‐related prognostic signature in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common aggressive non‐Hodgkin lymphoma and is characterized by substantial heterogeneity. This study aimed to develop a liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS)‐related prognostic model to improve risk stratification.

HISTOPATHOLOGICAL AND CYTOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF TRANSMISSIBLE VENEREAL TUMOR IN DOGS AFTER TWO TREATMENT PROTOCOLS

open access: yesColloquium Agrariae, 2012
The transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) is a contagious neoplasm of round cells that frequently affect dogs. The treatment consists of chemotherapy being more effective the vincristine alone, however the resistance emergence to this agent due multidrug ...

Minimal residual disease in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma after first‐line therapy: Defining the continuum from metabolic remission to molecular clearance

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Response assessment in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL) has traditionally relied on anatomical and metabolic imaging, with fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG‐PET)–defined complete metabolic remission representing the principal end‐point of first‐line therapy. However, growing evidence indicates that metabolic control does

Hidden Behind Ascites: An Atypical Pediatric Presentation of T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia-A Case Report. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Case Rep
ABSTRACT This case describes a child with T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) presenting atypically with ascites and bilateral pedal edema, initially suggesting autoimmune hepatitis. The diagnosis was established only after flow cytometry of ascitic fluid.

Eccrine Squamous Syringometaplasia Mimicking Acute Cutaneous GVHD in a Pediatric HSCT Recipient: Case Report and Brief Review of the Indexed Literature

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Eccrine squamous syringometaplasia (ESS) is an uncommon reactive alteration of eccrine ducts, most often reported in oncologic and transplant settings, where it may clinically mimic acute cutaneous graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD). We describe a 3‐year‐old boy with chronic granulomatous disease who developed a diffuse erythematous eruption 6 ...

Advances and Challenges in the Multidisciplinary Treatment of Retroperitoneal Infantile Fibrosarcoma in Early Life

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Retroperitoneal Infantile Fibrosarcoma (RIFS) is a rare, locally aggressive pediatric soft tissue tumor. Its retroperitoneal location poses challenges due to proximity and potential invasion of critical structures such as the inferior vena cava (IVC).

Low Risk of Central Nervous System Relapse Among Patients With T‐Cell/Histiocyte‐Rich Large B‐Cell Lymphoma Despite High‐Risk Disease Presentation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT T‐cell/histiocyte‐rich large B‐cell lymphoma (THRLBCL) is a rare subtype of large B‐cell lymphoma (LBCL) for which central nervous system (CNS) relapse remains a devastating complication. The CNS International Prognostic Index (IPI) is usually used to predict the risk of CNS relapse. However, the overall risk of CNS relapse among patients with

Prognostic Value of Skin Lesion Characteristics in Subcutaneous Panniculitis‐Like T‐Cell Lymphoma: A Retrospective Cohort Study Assessing the Applicability of T Category of the TNM Classification for Primary Cutaneous Lymphomas Other Than Mycosis Fungoides and Sézary Syndrome

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
Subcutaneous panniculitis‐like T‐cell lymphoma. Survival outcomes according to the presence of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and T category. Relapse‐free survival was inferior in patients presenting with generalized (T3) skin lesions. Overall survival was poor in patients with HLH. Relapse‐free survival was also reduced in patients with HLH.
