Asymptotic Behavior of Colored Jones polynomial and Turaev-Viro Invariant of figure eight knot
In this paper we investigate the asymptotic behavior of the colored Jones polynomials and the Turaev-Viro invariants for the figure eight knot. More precisely, we consider the $M$-th colored Jones polynomials evaluated at $(N+1/2)$-th root of unity with ...

Asymptotically maximal families of hypersurfaces in toric varieties
A real algebraic variety is maximal (with respect to the Smith-Thom inequality) if the sum of the Betti numbers (with $\mathbb{Z}_2$ coefficients) of the real part of the variety is equal to the sum of Betti numbers of its complex part.

ABSTRACT European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) spans a wide range of European climates and exhibits evidence of local adaptation, which supports its persistence under diverse conditions. We analysed 18 populations—distributed across an altitude gradient on the southwestern geographic range edge of the species—using landscape genomics to assess their ...

Observables in 3-dimensional quantum gravity and topological invariants
In this paper we report some results on the expectation values of a set of observables introduced for 3-dimensional Riemannian quantum gravity with positive cosmological constant, that is, observables in the Turaev-Viro model.

Algorithms and Complexity for Turaev-Viro Invariants [PDF]
The Turaev-Viro invariants are a powerful family of topological invariants for distinguishing between different 3-manifolds. They are invaluable for mathematical software, but current algorithms to compute them require exponential time. The invariants are parameterised by an integer $r \geq 3$. We resolve the question of complexity for $r=3$ and $r=4$,

ABSTRACT Exposure to environmental pollutants can disrupt the gut microbiota, but how pollutants impact natural, seasonal changes in wildlife gut microbiota remains unknown. We quantified how exposure to radionuclides affected temporal changes in the gut microbiota of bank voles (Clethrionomys glareolus) inhabiting the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone (CEZ ...

The study focusses on the morphological evolution of worldwide restored intertidal flats. These intertidal flats initially experience high sedimentation rates after the opening of the connection with open waters. The anthropogenic structures cause high morphological instability and are eroded, leading to a self‐cannibalisation of the system.

(3+1)-dimensional topological phases and self-dual quantum geometries encoded on Heegard surfaces
We apply the recently suggested strategy to lift state spaces and operators for (2+1)-dimensional topological quantum field theories to state spaces and operators for a (3+1)-dimensional TQFT with defects.
