Generalized criterion of the long-term strength of viscoelastic materials
Polymer Mechanics, 1976A long-term strength condition of the same type as the Il'yushin [2] or Moskvitin [1] nonlinear criterion is proposed. A method is suggested for determining the stress and time functions forming part of the proposed criterion from the long-term strength diagrams and from the data of pulsed or stepped loading tests.

Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) form viscoelastic gel-like layers at the air-water interface due to their amphiphilic nature, and this same protein characteristic can lead to undesired aggregation of proteins in therapeutic formulations. We hypothesize that the interfacial viscoelasticity and surface pressure of mAbs at the air-water interface will ...

A Viscoelastic Model of the Long-Term Orthodontic Tooth Movement
2019The objective of this study was to propose an approach to simulate orthodontic tooth movement by modeling of periodontal ligament as a viscoelastic material. Although there are various models of tooth movement proposed by several authors, most of them are based on empirical remodeling laws without considering nature of biochemical processes occurring ...

Asymptotic profile of solutions for wave equations with frictional and viscoelastic damping terms
Asymptotic Analysis, 2016We consider the Cauchy problem in [Formula: see text] for some types of damped wave equations. We derive asymptotic profiles of solutions with weighted [Formula: see text] initial data by employing a simple method introduced in [ Math. Meth. Appl. Sci. 27 (2004), 865–889].

A model for the long-term viscoelastic behavior of aging polymers
Polymer, 1998Abstract A constitutive model is derived for the physical aging of amorphous polymers. The model is based on the concept of transient networks, where a viscoelastic medium is treated as a system of adaptive links which break and arise due to micro-Brownian motion.
