Response of Fractional Oscillators With Viscoelastic Term Under Random Excitation
Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics, 2014A system with fractional damping and a viscoelastic term subject to narrow-band noise is considered in this paper. Based on the revisit of the Lindstedt–Poincaré (LP) and multiple scales method, we present a new procedure to obtain the second-order approximate analytical solution, and then the frequency–amplitude response equations in the deterministic

Multidimensional viscoelasticity equations with nonlinear damping and source terms
Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2004The authors investigate the initial-boundary value problem \(u_{tt}-\Delta u_t-\sum_{i=1}^N\frac \partial{\partial x_i}\sigma_i(u_{x_i})+f(u_t)=g(u)\), \(x\in \Omega\), \(t>0,\) \(u(x,0)=u_0(x)\), \(u_t(x,0)=u_1(x)\), \(x\in \Omega\); \(u(x,t)=0\), \(x\in \partial\Omega\), \(t\geq 0,\) where \(\Omega\subset \mathbb R^N\) is a bounded domain.

Generalized criterion of the long-term strength of viscoelastic materials
Polymer Mechanics, 1976A long-term strength condition of the same type as the Il'yushin [2] or Moskvitin [1] nonlinear criterion is proposed. A method is suggested for determining the stress and time functions forming part of the proposed criterion from the long-term strength diagrams and from the data of pulsed or stepped loading tests.

Long-term viscoelastic response in physically aging amorphous polymers
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1998Abstract Based on the concept of transient networks, a constitutive model is derived for the long-term viscoelastic response in physically aging amorphous polymers. Breakage and reformation rates for active chains of various kinds are assumed to depend on a sum of free-volume fractions, which are governed by kinetic equations. Comparison of numerical

Long-term crack resistance of aging viscoelastic composite in static loading
International Applied Mechanics, 1999In the framework of the theory of subcritical crack development in viscoelastic bodies (see \textit{A.~A.~Kaminskii} and \textit{G.~V.~Gavrilov}, Prikl. Mekh. 34, No.~11, 60--66 (1998)) the initial stage of the subcritical crack development in the aging composite plate under constant external loading is investigated in terms of the generalized method ...

Simplified determination of long-term viscoelastic behavior of amorphous resin
Mechanics of Time-Dependent Materials, 2012The time-temperature superposition principle has been applied to predict accurately the long-term viscoelastic behavior of amorphous resin at a temperature below the glass transition temperature from measuring the short-term viscoelastic behavior at elevated temperatures.

smartPearls® are a novel dermal delivery system based on mesoporous (pores 2-50 nm) particles, developed in 2014. Their pores can be loaded with active which is long-term stabilized in its amorphous state. The increased saturation solubility by the amorphous state leads to an increased dermal bioavailability of poorly soluble actives.
