Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Experimental evaluation of viscous damping coefficient in the fractional underdamped oscillator
In this article, we obtain the viscous damping coefficient β theoretically and experimentally in the spring–mass–viscodamper system. The calculation is performed to obtain the quasi-period τ .

A steric‐hindrance molecular engineering strategy uses dimethyl maleate (DMM) to convert poly(1,4‐butanediol) bis(4‐aminobenzoate) (PBDAB) into a precursor with reduced reactivity via Michael addition, thereby retarding the curing process to form a transparent, ultraflexible, and self‐healable secondary‑amine polyurea (PuSA) with a crosslinked network.

A Hybrid CFD and Potential Flow Motion Analysis of Spar Buoys with Damping-Enhanced Appendages
This study investigates the hydrodynamic response of a spar-type buoy equipped with a solid, perforated, and novel corrugated plate appendage introduced here for the first time to enhance motion damping.

The experimental response of a broadband base-excited vibration isolator incorporating cubic damping
Structural damping is often assumed to be viscous and linear which leads to comparatively straightforward vibration analysis. In the case of vibration isolation mounts this assumption of linearity is particularly questionable and one might want to know ...

Synchronization‐Dissipation in the Cardiorespiratory System
By modeling central nervous coupling and viscoelastic interactions in the cardiorespiratory system we show that synchronization produces a 10% gain in cardiac efficiency in humans. It is surmised that respiratory sinus arrhythmia improves cardiac pumping efficiency by reducing dynamic stress and power dissipation in the pulmonary vasculature.

Nuclear mechanical properties are inherently scale‐dependent, arising from a hierarchical architecture that spans DNA, chromatin, the nuclear envelope, and condensates. Experimental techniques and theoretical models are integrated into a cohesive multiscale framework linking nanoscale structural features to organelle‐level mechanical behavior.

To overcome severe signal oscillation under extreme impact conditions, this work presents a Sensing‐in‐Energy microdevice which integrates a MEMS inertial structure directly within a supercapacitor electrolyte cavity. Utilizing shock‐driven transient contact and electrolyte damping for signal self‐filtering, it achieves weak‐oscillation, large ...

Nonlinear roll damping of a barge with and without liquid cargo in spherical tanks
Damping plays a significant role on the maximum amplitude of a vessel's roll motion, in particular near the resonant frequency. It is a common practice to predict roll damping using a linear radiation–diffraction code and add that to a linearized viscous

Surface-wave damping in a brimful circular cylinder
The natural frequencies and damping rates of surface waves in a circular cylinder with pinned-end boundary conditions are calculated in terms of the gravitational Reynolds and Bond numbers, C[minus sign]1 and B, and the slenderness of the cylinder ...
