The production of antibodies to vitamin B-12
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1979The conjugation of vitamin B-12 to HSA by means of a combined ethylcarbodiimide N-hydroxysuccinimide conjugation method at pH 5.5 is described. It gave a ratio of 2.7 mol vitamin B-12/mol HSA. Five rabbits were immunized with this conjugate emulsified in Freund's complete adjuvant. British Veterinary Journal, 1971SUMMARY The concentration of vitamin B 12 in the contents of the alimentary tract of the horse was found to increase from stomach to rectum. Micro-organisms which produced vitamin B 12 in the different regions of the tract were isolated and identified as far as possible.
