Comparison of stabilization by Vitamin E and 2,6-di-tert-butylphenols during polyethylene radio-thermal-oxidation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper reports a compilation of data for PE+Vitamin E and 2,6-di-tert-butylphenols oxidation in radio-thermal ageing. Data unambiguously show that Vitamin E reacts with P° and POO° whereas 2,6-di-tert-butyl phenols only react with POO°.

Mechanisms involved in vitamin E transport by primary enterocytes and in vivo absorption

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2007
It is generally believed that vitamin E is absorbed along with chylomicrons. However, we previously reported that human colon carcinoma Caco-2 cells use dual pathways, apolipoprotein B (apoB)-lipoproteins and HDLs, to transport vitamin E.

Influence of vitamin B12 and light on the formation of chlorosomes in green- and brown-colored Chlorobium species [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The specific Bchl a and c content of the vitamin B12-dependent Chlorobium limicola strain 1230 decreased strongly under vitamin B12 limitation. In comparison to a regularly grown culture (20 g vitamin B12/l) the specific Bchl c content of a B12-limited ...

Generation of superoxide and singlet oxygen from α-tocopherolquinone and analogues. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Three potential routes to generation of reactive oxygen species from a tocopherolquinone have been identified. The quinone of the water-soluble vitamin E analogue Trolox C (Trol-Q) is reduced by hydrated electron and isopropanol a hydroxyalkyl radical ...
