Trapping Xe in Nanocages Using a Plasma

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Silicate nanocages supported on metal powders trap xenon (Xe) atoms when exposed to a Xe plasma. Three major advances are achieved in this work including trapping Xe in (1) high‐surface‐area powder materials, using (2) a nonprecious metal support, and (3) a simple ionization method.
