Computational modeling of spike generation in serotonergic neurons of the dorsal raphe nucleu [PDF]
We consider here a single-compartment model of these neurons which is capable of describing many of the known features of spike generation, particularly the slow rhythmic pacemaking activity often observed in these cells in a variety of species. Included

Intersection Between Local Anesthetics and Cancer Biology: What Now? Where Are We Going?
Local anesthetics (LAs), widely used in anesthesia, may also play a role in cancer treatment by inhibiting tumor growth, reducing metastasis, and enhancing immune responses. They modulate key pathways like AKT/mTOR and RAS/ERK while affecting angiogenesis and tumor innervation and the immune response.

A detailed workflow for recombinant GALC production and characterization is presented to support enzyme replacement therapy for Krabbe disease. In vitro assays demonstrate that physiological GALC doses restore enzymatic activity and autophagic flux without affecting cell viability, whereas higher doses impair autophagy and reduce viability.

Monovalent permeability, rectification, and ionic block of store-operated calcium channels in Jurkat T lymphocytes. [PDF]
We used whole-cell recording to characterize ion permeation, rectification, and block of monovalent current through calcium release-activated calcium (CRAC) channels in Jurkat T lymphocytes.
