Effect of Volume Fraction of Epoxy Matrix Coconut Shell Composite on Tensile and Impact Loads
This research aims to determine the effect of the volume fraction of coconut shell composite, with an epoxy matrix at 10% coconut shell water content, on the composite’s tensile strength, impact, density, and fracture results with the macrostructure. The

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Control of superluminal transit through a heterogeneous medium
We consider pulse propagation through a two component composite medium (metal inclusions in a dielectric host) with or without cavity mirrors. We show that a very thin slab of such a medium, under conditions of localized plasmon resonance, can lead to ...

AC Discharge Characteristics of Rod Plate Gaps in Sand Dust Environment
In recent years, the influence of sand and dust on the external insulation of power system can not be ignored, but there are few studies about that at present.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Low-volume-fraction limit for polymer fluids
We study a stationary, purely viscous polymer flow through a porous medium modelled as a periodic array of cells consisted of a fluid part and a solid one. Solid parts of the domain present impermeable obstacles, whose impact on fluid flow may be seen as a slowing factor through averaged quantities such as the permeability function, obtained by the ...

Rheology of suspensions of viscoelastic spheres: deformability as an effective volume fraction
We study suspensions of deformable (viscoelastic) spheres in a Newtonian solvent in plane Couette geometry, by means of direct numerical simulations. We find that in the limit of vanishing inertia the effective viscosity $\mu$ of the suspension increases

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Influence of aggregate size and fraction on shrinkage induced micro-cracking of mortar and concrete
In this paper, the influence of aggregate size and volume fraction on shrinkage induced micro-cracking and permeability of concrete and mortar was investigated. Nonlinear finite element analyses of model concrete and mortar specimens were performed.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
