Polygonum cognatum Extract: Multitarget Anti‐inflammatory, Antidiabetic, and Epigenetic Modulation Properties

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
Polygonum cognatum extracts exhibit strong antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, antidiabetic, and antimicrobial activities. This study demonstrates, for the first time, histone deacetylase inhibitory activity, revealing epigenetic modulation potential.

Anti-GD2 antibody and Vorinostat immunocombination therapy is highly effective in an aggressive orthotopic neuroblastoma model

open access: yesOncoImmunology, 2020
Neuroblastoma is a childhood malignancy and in the majority of patients, the primary tumor arises in one of the adrenal glands. Neuroblastoma cells highly express the disialoganglioside GD2, which is the primary target for the development of ...

DNA methyltransferase inhibitors in hematological malignancies and solid tumors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 2, Page 433-461, 15 January 2026.
Abstract Epigenetic modifications such as DNA methylation play a fundamental role in oncogenesis and the progression of neoplasms neoplasias. DNA methyltransferase inhibitors (DNMTi) constitute a family of therapeutic agents that impede the methylation at the 5‐position on cytosine nucleotides, thereby modulating the epigenetic regulation of tumor ...

A simple and robust method for connecting small-molecule drugs using gene-expression signatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Interaction of a drug or chemical with a biological system can result in a gene-expression profile or signature characteristic of the event. Using a suitably robust algorithm these signatures can potentially be used to connect molecules with similar ...

Curious case of extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma

open access: yesLung India, 2017
Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcomas (EMC) are a rare entity of soft tissue tumors that have slow growth with metastatic potential. We discuss here a case of EMC presenting with right upper extremity pain and hemoptysis.
