Genomic organization of the mouse T-cell receptor β-chain gene family [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
We have combined three different methods, deletion mapping of T-cell lines, field-inversion gel electrophoresis, and the restriction mapping of a cosmid clone, to construct a physical map of the murine T-cell receptor β-chain gene family.

Examination of In Vivo Mutations in VP4 (VP8*) of the Rotarix® Vaccine from Shedding of Children Living in the Amazon Region

open access: yesViruses
Group A rotaviruses (RVAs) remain the leading cause of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in young children in low- and middle-income countries. In Brazil, the oral attenuated RVA vaccine (Rotarix®), monovalent genotype G1P[8], is distributed by the national ...

Rotavirus Serotype G9P[8] and Acute Gastroenteritis Outbreak in Children, Northern Australia

open access: yesEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2004
During 2001, an outbreak of severe acute gastroenteritis swept through Central and northern Australia and caused serious disruption to health services. We tracked and characterized the rotavirus strain implicated in the outbreak.

Production and characterization of egg yolk antibody (IgY) against recombinant VP8-S2 antigen

open access: yesPolish Journal of Veterinary Sciences, 2016
Abstract Bovine Rotavirus and Bovine Coronavirus are the most important causes of diarrhea in newborn calves and in some other species such as pigs and sheep. VP8 subunit of rotavirus is the major determinant of the viral infectivity and neutralization.

Different Fc scaffolds enhance the breadth of in vitro neutralization of the same Fab against different Rotavirus strains

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Rotaviruses are the primary cause of severe dehydrating diarrhea in infants and young children globally. Currently, several oral rotavirus vaccines are available; however, they have shown reduced effectiveness and quicker waning of protection in low- and

PEA265: Perceptual Assessment of Video Compression Artifacts

open access: yes, 2019
The most widely used video encoders share a common hybrid coding framework that includes block-based motion estimation/compensation and block-based transform coding. Despite their high coding efficiency, the encoded videos often exhibit visually annoying

Immunological response to recombinant VP8* subunit protein of bovine rotavirus in pregnant cattle

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1995
Bovine rotavirus VP8*, N-terminal trypsin cleavage product of VP4, was produced in Escherichia coli. To examine if this antigen could induce neutralizing antibody responses, different species of animals were immunized with the recombinant VP8* protein. The VP8* antigen was found to stimulate a neutralizing immune response in rabbits.

The LuxO-OpaR quorum-sensing cascade differentially controls Vibriophage VP882 lysis-lysogeny decision making in liquid and on surfaces.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics
Quorum sensing (QS) is a process of cell-to-cell communication that bacteria use to synchronize collective behaviors. QS relies on the production, release, and group-wide detection of extracellular signaling molecules called autoinducers. Vibrios use two
