Influence of varying base demands on water age in a water distribution system [PDF]
Water age is a very helpful parameter that supplies a fast, general evaluation of the water quality within a water distribution system (WDS). The paper presents a comparative analysis in the process of modelling water distribution systems (WDS), taking ...

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Data‐Driven Estimation of Time‐Variable Catchment Transit Time Distributions
Transit Time Distributions (TTDs) are widely used to summarize catchment behavior and are useful for understanding solute transport processes. Most methods for estimating TTDs from tracer data involve imposing strong model assumptions, which may affect ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Reframing women’s empowerment in water security programmes in western Nepal
Water security has become the new buzzword for water and development programmes in the rural South. The concept has potential to focus policymakers and practitioners on the inequalities and injustices that lie behind lack of access to affordable, safe ...

14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.
