Water distribution expansion planning with decomposition
In recent years, the water distribution expansion planning (WDEP) problem has become increasingly complex as the demands on water distribution systems have evolved to meet modern requirements.

On-line monitoring for operational control of water distribution networks [PDF]
This work concerns the concept of on-line monitoring and control for water distribution networks. The problem is simple to state. It is to produce a robust scheme that can continuously provide reliable information about the state of a water network in ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Multiobjective memetic algorithm applied to the optimisation of water distribution systems
Finding low-cost designs of water distribution systems (WDSs) which satisfy appropriate levels of network performance within a manageable time is a complex problem of increasing importance.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Segment identification in water distribution systems
This paper presents a new method for identifying the segments that are formed after the installation and closure of isolation valves in a water distribution network.

Pressure control for minimizing leakage in water distribution systems
In the last decades water resources availability has been a major issue on the international agenda. In a situation of worsening scarcity of water resources and the rapidly increasing of water demands, the state of water losses management is part of manâ

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
