Study on the Optimal Wave Energy Absorption Power of a Float in Waves

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2019
The utilization of ocean renewable energy, especially wave energy, is of great significance in ocean engineering. In this study, a three-dimensional numerical wave tank was established to simulate the wave-float interaction based on the Reynolds-averaged

Investigating the effect of using coastal barriers as a shear stress factor in weakening waves by using of the 3D numerical model [PDF]

open access: yesفناوری‌های پیشرفته در بهره‌وری آب, 2023
A major part of the globe is made up of seas, rivers, underground waters and oceans, and from those places where a major part of the resources needed by humans comes from these methods and requires engineering constructions, coastal protection is ...

Damping of Magnetoelastic Waves

open access: yesUkrainian Journal of Physics, 2020
A general method for constructing a model of the dissipative function describing the relaxation processes induced by the damping of coupled magnetoacoustic waves in magnetically ordered materials has been developed. The obtained model is based on the symmetry of the magnet and describes both exchange and relativistic interactions in the crystal.

Prediction of regular wave loads on a fixed offshore oscillating water column-wave energy converter using CFD

open access: yesJournal of Ocean Engineering and Science, 2016
In this paper, hydrodynamic wave loads on an offshore stationary–floating oscillating water column (OWC) are investigated via a 2D and 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling based on the RANS equations and the VOF surface capturing scheme.

Damping signatures at JUNO, a medium-baseline reactor neutrino oscillation experiment

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We study damping signatures at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), a medium-baseline reactor neutrino oscillation experiment. These damping signatures are motivated by various new physics models, including quantum decoherence, ν 3 decay,

Conceptual Design of Motion Reduction Device for Floating Wave-Offshore Wind Hybrid Power Generation Platform

open access: yes한국해양공학회지, 2018
The present study deals with the conceptual design of a motion reduction device for a floating wave-offshore wind hybrid power generation platform. A damping plate attached to the bottom of a column of a large semi-submersible is introduced to reduce the

Estimate of Small Stiffness and Damping Ratio in Residual Soil Using Spectral Analysis of Surface Wave Method

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Research in the important parameters for modeling the dynamic behavior of soils has led to rapid development of the small strain stiffness and damping ratio for use in the seismic method. It is because, the experimental determination of the damping ratio
