Fixed Points Of F-Weak Contractions On Complete Metric Spaces

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2014
In this paper, we introduce the notion of an F-weak contraction and prove a fixed point theorem for F-weak contractions.

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Endpoints of φ-weak and generalized φ-weak contractive mappings

open access: yesFilomat, 2012
Let (X, d) be a complete metric space, and let T:X ? Pd,bd (X) be a multi-valued ?-weak or generalized ?-weak contractive mapping. Then T has a unique endpoint if and only if T has the approximation endpoints property. Our results extend previous results given by Ciric(1974), Nadler (1969), Daffer-Kaneko (1995), Rhoades (2001), Rouhani and ...

On the contraction properties for weak solutions to linear elliptic equations with $L^2$-drifts of negative divergence

open access: yes, 2023
We show the existence and uniqueness as well as boundedness of weak solutions to linear elliptic equations with $L^2$-drifts of negative divergence and singular zero-order terms which are positive.

Solid‐State Diffusion and Intermetallic Phase Formation in Roll‐Bonded Mg–Zn Composites With Kirigami‐Patterned Inlay

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

A Common End Point Theorem for Set-Valued Generalized -Weak Contraction

open access: yes, 2010
We introduce the class of generalized -weak contractive set-valued mappings on a metric space. We establish that such mappings have a unique common end point under certain weak conditions. The theorem obtained generalizes several recent results on single-
