Conservation laws. II: Weak solutions
Summary: For parts I and III see [ibid. 81--90 (2007; Zbl 1156.35428)] and ibid. 107--115 (2007; Zbl 1156.35425)]. We apply the maximum principle and the compensated compactness method to get the existence of weak solutions to the Cauchy problems for the nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws of quadratic flux and the LeRoux system with sources.

Non-Smooth Stochastic Lyapunov Functions With Weak Extension of Viscosity Solutions
This paper proposes a notion of viscosity weak supersolutions to build a bridge between stochastic Lyapunov stability theory and viscosity solution theory.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Solutions for p(x)-Laplace equations with critical frequency
This article concerns the p(x)-Laplace equations with critical frequency $$ -\text{div}(|\nabla u|^{p(x)-2}\nabla u)+V(x)|u|^{p(x)-2}u=f(x,u)\quad \text{in } \mathbb{R}^N, $$ where ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Weak solutions for quasilinear degenerate parabolic systems
This paper concerns the initial Dirichlet boundary-value problem for a class of quasilinear degenerate parabolic systems. Due to the degeneracies, the problem does not have classical solutions in general.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
