Improving dose delivery in non‐coplanar cranial SRS: Stereoscopic x‐ray‐guided mitigation of table walkout errors

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Purpose Linear accelerator (LINAC)‐based single‐isocenter multi‐target (SIMT) treatment has streamlined the cranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) workflow. Though efficient, SIMT delivery adds additional challenges that should be considered, including increased sensitivity to rotational errors for off‐isocenter targets.

Music Interventions in Hyperacute and Acute Stroke Patients: A Randomized Controlled Pilot Feasibility Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Music interventions have been shown to have beneficial effects on hemodynamic parameters, pain, and anxiety in various medical settings. However, music interventions in the setting of acute stroke have not been studied. The objective of this trial was to perform a pilot feasibility study of music interventions in the setting of acute

Web Services Specific Security Standards

open access: yesProcedia Economics and Finance, 2014
AbstractIn this paper are described the aspects regarding the security within OGSA framework, introducing WS-Security standard – OASIS standard for Web Services security. There are approached the security aspects of the OGSA environment for the delivered architectures P2P – ‘Peer-to-Peer’ and there are presented the recent initiatives for creating a ...

Development of a Disease Model for Predicting Postoperative Delirium Using Combined Blood Biomarkers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Postoperative delirium, a common neurocognitive complication after surgery and anesthesia, requires early detection for potential intervention. Herein, we constructed a multidimensional postoperative delirium risk‐prediction model incorporating multiple demographic parameters and blood biomarkers to enhance prediction accuracy ...

Learning from Web Data: the Benefit of Unsupervised Object Localization [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Annotating a large number of training images is very time-consuming. In this background, this paper focuses on learning from easy-to-acquire web data and utilizes the learned model for fine-grained image classification in labeled datasets. Currently, the performance gain from training with web data is incremental, like a common saying "better than ...

Patient Perceptions of Medication Therapy for Prevention of Posttraumatic Osteoarthritis Following Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury: A Qualitative Content Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) accounts for nearly 12% of osteoarthritis incidences and often occurs after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear. Ensuring the uptake of preventive treatments for PTOA requires that investigators and clinicians understand factors influencing patients to seek preventive therapies.

High Quality Requirement Engineering and Applying Priority Based Tools for QoS Standardization in Web Service Architecture [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Even though there are more development to improving the Quality of Service and requirement engineering in web services yet there is a big scarcity for its related standardization in day to day progress leading to vast needs in its area. Also in web service environment it always has been a big challenge to raise the standard of Quality of Service in ...

Association Between Metabolic Syndrome and Radiographic Changes in Psoriatic Arthritis: A Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a known comorbidity of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and is associated with PsA disease activity. We aimed to explore the association between MetS and radiographic features (peripheral and axial) in PsA. Methods We included patients with PsA followed at our prospective observational cohort for the period between 1978 ...

Exploring the Intersections of Web Science and Accessibility [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The web is the prominent way information is exchanged in the 21st century. However, ensuring web-based information is accessible is complicated, particularly with web applications that rely on JavaScript and other technologies to deliver and build representations; representations are often the HTML, images, or other code a server delivers for a web ...
