Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Weight change and quality of life in a community-based population

open access: yes, 2008
*Objectives:* This study investigates the longitudinal association between 5-year weight change and quality of life (QoL) in Dutch men and women. *Design:* A prospective cohort study (1998, 2000, 2003) in a population based sample ...

Evaluation of Landslide Risk Using the WoE and IV Methods: A Case Study in the Zipaquirá–Pacho Road Corridor

open access: yesGeoHazards
This study develops a landslide susceptibility zoning map for the Zipaquirá–Pacho road corridor in Cundinamarca, an area prone to frequent landslides. Two statistical methods—Weight of Evidence (WoE) and Information Value (IV)—were used alongside various

Evidence for Heuristic Evidence Weighting in Real-World Beliefs.

open access: yes, 2023
Cognitive models of learning often propose that belief formation is rational: new experience is combined with prior belief to support statistically optimal inferences. Why then are false beliefs so ubiquitous and difficult to correct? Prior work using a novel category-learning paradigm suggests that false beliefs may arise from the way that learners ...
