Scaling of continuous twin screw wet granulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Scaling rules were developed and tested for a continuous twin screw wet granulation process using three scales (11, 16, and 24 mm barrel diameter) of twin screw granulators (TSG).

Seta‐Inspired Mechano‐Intelligent Janus Bandage with Coordinated Adhesion–Contraction for Minimizing Scarring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a bioinspired mechano‐intelligent Janus bandage (MIB) with a hydrophobic flat exterior and a hydrophilic interior featuring gecko‐mimicking wedged microstructures, fabricated via micromolding and anisotropic plasma treatment. The MIB dynamically synchronizes adhesion and contraction, enabling precise force modulation.

Population balance modelling for a flow induced phase inversion based granulation in a two-dimensional rotating agglomerator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A novel two-dimensional rotating agglomerator was developed to carry out the flow induced phase inversion (FIPI) based granulation. The process in this agglomerator shows that a continuous paste flow (mixed with liquid binder and primary particles) is ...

Wet granulation of co-amorphous indomethacin systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2023
The feasibility of co-amorphous systems to be wet granulated together with microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was investigated. Solid state and molecular interactions were analysed for various co-amorphous drug-amino acid formulations of indomethacin with tryptophan and arginine, respectively, via XRPD, DSC and FTIR.
