Gene-expression profiling of White spot syndrome virus in vivo
White spot syndrome virus, type species of the genus Whispovirus in the family Nimaviridae, is a large, double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) virus that infects crustaceans. The genome of the completely sequenced isolate WSSV-TH encodes 184 putative open reading frames (ORFs), the functions of which are largely unknown.

Glymphatic Dysfunction Reflects Post‐Concussion Symptoms: Changes Within 1 Month and After 3 Months
ABSTRACT Objective Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) may alter glymphatic function; however, its progression and variability remain obscure. This study examined glymphatic function following mTBI within 1 month and after 3 months post‐injury to determine whether variations in glymphatic function are associated with post‐traumatic symptom severity ...

An Out‐of‐Place Etiology: Recognizing FMR1 Premutation in the Memory Clinic
ABSTRACT The FMR1 gene premutation (55–200 CGG repeats) is usually associated with a wide range of symptoms and phenotypes within the Fragile X‐tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS), but may also manifest as predominant or isolated cognitive decline. We describe three male patients referred for progressive cognitive impairment and behavioral changes. Standard

Protection of Caridea Against White Spot Syndrome Virus
White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) belongs to a new virus family, Nimaviridae, genus Whispovirus and contains a large circular double-stranded DNA genome of 292,967 bp. WSSV virions are ellipsoid to bacilliform, enveloped particles with a distinctive tail-like appendage at one end. They can be found throughout the body of infected shrimp.

ABSTRACT Objective The Gold Coast criteria permit diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) even without upper motor neuron (UMN) signs. However, whether ALS patients with UMN signs (ALSwUMN) and those without (ALSwoUMN) share similar characteristics and prognoses remains unclear.

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...

Interaction of white spot syndrome virus VP26 protein with actin
VP26 protein, the product of the WSV311 gene of white spot syndrome virus (WSSV), is one of major structural proteins of virus. In this study, when purified virions were treated with Triton X-100 detergent, VP26 protein was present in both the envelope and the nucleocapsid fraction.

Clinically Relevant Outcome Measures in Women With Adrenoleukodystrophy
ABSTRACT Adrenoleukodystrophy is a rare inherited peroxisomal disease caused by pathogenic variants in the ABCD1 gene located on the X chromosome. Although the most severe central nervous system and adrenal complications typically affect only men with adrenoleukodystrophy, the majority of women develop myeloneuropathy symptoms in adulthood.
