Binary Disruption during the Early Phase of Open Clusters
The binary fraction in young open clusters exceeds that of field stars, making the study of binary dynamical evolution in clusters essential for understanding the origins and evolution of field binaries.

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

On Binary Formation from Three Initially Unbound Bodies
We explore three-body binary formation (3BBF), the formation of a bound system via gravitational scattering of three initially unbound bodies (3UB), using direct numerical integrations. For the first time, we consider systems with unequal masses, as well

A Catalog of Early-type Runaway Stars from LAMOST DR8
Runaway stars are OB-type stars ejected from their birthplace with large peculiar velocities. The leading hypothesis addressed in their formation includes the supernova ejection mechanism and the dynamic ejection scenario.

Chemical signatures of planetary systems in their host stars
Context. An important open question in exoplanet studies is whether planets can leave detectable chemical fingerprints on their host stars. While several studies have suggested possible planetary chemical signatures in planet-hosting stars, including the

Dense circumstellar nebulae in wide binary central stars
Detection of close binary central stars with periods of less than a day is now well-tested and routinely possible via photometric monitoring. For wide binary central stars with periods of weeks to years detection techniques are still in their infancy ...

Modular Critical Element Recycling Platform Using a Nanoporous Additively Manufactured Gyroid
A modular recycling platform integrates 3D‐printed nanoporous gyroid structures to enable efficient critical element recovery. This system utilizes a hierarchical architecture, combining macroscopic channels with polymerization‐induced nanoscale porosity. By systematically tuning structural wall thickness and resin formulation, the platform achieves an

Bumpy Superluminous Supernovae Powered by a Magnetar–Star Binary Engine
Wolf–Rayet stars in close binary systems can be tidally spun up by their companions, potentially leaving behind fast-spinning, highly magnetized neutron stars, known as “magnetars,” after core collapse.
