Miniaturized, Wideband Fractal Patch Antenna

IEEE/ACES International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applied Computational Electromagnetics, 2005., 2005
In this paper a novel reduced size and wideband fractal patch antenna is introduced. Because of it's likeness to butterfly it has been named fractal butterfly patch antenna. By its comparison to conventional square patch antenna more than 68% size reduction at third iteration of fractal is achieved. Then by utilizing a T-probe feeding method, up to 13 %

Wideband Fractal Vertical Patch Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2007
A wideband vertical patch antenna (VPA) is depicted, which is devised from fractal antenna technology. By using a dual-Koch loop structure, a wideband VPA with 42% bandwidth and 8 dBi gain at the center frequency is designed and tested. Symmetrical broadside patterns are obtained at the passband.

Wideband Circularly-Polarized Patch Antenna

2005 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings, 2006
In this paper, a novel wideband circularly-polarized patch antenna is presented. The patch antenna is excited by a broadband feed network having a 10-dB return loss bandwidth of 86% and a consistent 90/spl deg/ (/spl plusmn/ 3/spl deg/) phase difference between two output ports over a wideband of 76%. It is found that the antenna can deliver a measured

Design of wideband patch antenna for INSAT

2016 International Conference on Signal Processing, Communication, Power and Embedded System (SCOPES), 2016
In this paper a microstrip patch antenna of size 35 × 55 × 1.6 mm3 is proposed for INSAT and military requirements. The suggested antenna has a bandwidth of 2.31 GHz from 6.66 GHz to 8.97 GHz (27.5%). The antenna is designed and simulated using HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator).

Wideband Patch Antenna for HPM Applications

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2011
This paper presents the design, fabrication, and characterization of a compact wideband antenna for high-power microwave applications. The antennas proposed are array of high-power wideband patches with high compactness and less than λ/10 thick. The concept developed can be fed by high-voltage signals (up to 60 kV) in repetitive operation.

A wideband dual-polarized patch antenna

Proceedings of 2014 3rd Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2014
A broadband microstrip patch antenna with dual-polarization is presented in the paper. There are four feed-lines and a cavity-backed ground plane in the antenna. The patch is electromagnetically coupled by these feed-lines. The phase offset of the two feeding ports located symmetrically relative to the center of the patch is 180°, which affords a ...

Wideband Dielectric Patch Antenna With Stable Radiation Pattern

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023
A dielectric patch antenna (DPA) with a wide impedance bandwidth and a stable radiation pattern is investigated. By making use of the fact that the E-field distributions of different modes of the DPA are distinctive, multiple air regions are elaborately introduced into the DPA. They can manipulate the resonant frequencies of different modes.

Wideband Dual-Polarized Patch Antenna

2006 10th IEEE Singapore International Conference on Communication Systems, 2006
Dual-polarized L-probe patch antennas afford wide impedance bandwidth and increased channel capacity. However, due to the close proximity, the coupling between the two input ports remains an important problem. In this paper, we introduce the use of a novel 180deg broadband microstrip balun which delivers both balanced power splitting and consistent ...

A Wideband Slot Coupled Patch Antenna

2020 IEEE MTT-S International Wireless Symposium (IWS), 2020
The design and investigation of a novel slot coupled patch antenna with a wide bandwidth have been presented in this paper. The antenna structure consists of three layers with the square radiating patch on the top, the grounded patch with three embedded slots in the middle and the L-shaped feed at the bottom.
