A wideband transparent water patch antenna
2016 IEEE Conference on Antenna Measurements & Applications (CAMA), 2016A new kind of water patch antenna for omnidirectional radiation pattern is proposed and designed. Different from the previous water patch antenna model, this kind of water patch antenna is completely made of distilled water except for the feeding probe.

Double‐ring wideband patch antennas
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1998The singleand double-shorted ring antennas with electromagnetic coupling to the feed line are presented. Their wideband and easy matching characteristics will be discussed, and a possible design criterion will be outlined. Experimental results, demonstrating the effecti eness of the large frequency band beha ior, for the input parameters and the ...

An ultra wideband “cobra” patch antenna
IEE Proceedings - Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, 2004An ultra wideband patch antenna is presented in which the moment method is used to analyse and optimise a patch antenna, the final optimised patch antenna looking like a cobra snake. It is therefore referred to as ‘cobra patch antenna’. The antenna has an ultra wideband VSWR performance and relatively good gain, no input balun, and is easy and cheap to

A wideband monopolar plate-patch antenna
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 2001 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.01CH37229), 2002A novel wideband monopolar plate-patch antenna has been proposed and successfully implemented. The impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna can be greatly enhanced when the two ground plates are placed at the edges of the loading square patch of the planar monopole and proper widths of W/sub 1/ and W/sub 2/ are chosen.

Design of Wideband Microstrip Patch Antenna
2009 2nd International Conference on Computer Science and its Applications, 2009In this paper, a wideband microstrip patch antenna fed by L-strip structure for the K-PCS (Korea PCS, 1750-1850 MHz) and W-CDMA (1920-2170 MHz) broad-band is presented. A two-element array fed by L-strip structure is also proposed. Both the antennas have stable radiation patterns across the passband.

Multiband and Wideband Patch Antennas
2004This Chapter reviews recent advances in designs of multiband and wideband patch antennas. Many promising patch antenna designs for dual band operations of orthogonal and same polarizations are described. Designs for dual band, dual polarized and circularly polarized operations are also presented.

Novel wideband circular patch antenna
2016 IEEE International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2016In order to overcome the narrow bandwidth of the ordinary patch antennas, a novel configuration of patch antenna which can widen the bandwidth of patch antenna significantly is discussed in this paper. In terms of the analytical results based on the equivalent circuit method and the HFSS software, a rule derived from the simulation results that can ...

A wideband antenna with a folded patch feed
IWAT 2005. IEEE International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas and Novel Metamaterials, 2005., 2005The need for wireless connectivity of home, office and portable equipment has pushed for better antenna designs with a larger bandwidth. The microstrip patch antenna is a very popular choice for many wireless communications devices because of its low profile, light weight, and low cost.

Wideband circularly polarized slotted-patch antenna with a reflector
2014 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation Conference Proceedings, 2014A design for wideband circularly-polarized (CP) antennas with unidirectional radiation is described. The antenna structure is mainly composed of a rectangular slotted patch and a metallic reflector. First, the CP design for the stand-alone slotted patch antenna is investigated, and a 3dB-axial-ratio bandwidth of 53 % is obtained.

A wideband injection matched patch antenna
Antennas and Propagation Conference 2019 (APC-2019), 2019In this paper, a wideband injection matched patch antenna is proposed for the wireless applications in the S and lower C bands using the injection matching theory. In this arrangement, the relative amplitude and phase shift between the excitation current signals at the two ports of a two-port antenna are used to match the antenna to a 50 Ohm source.
