Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Wind-Induced Response Analysis of Double Layer Cylindrical Lattice Shells

open access: yes, 2011
Analysis of wind-induced response of double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell by different methods of calculation . The results showed that the wind-induced response of the structure was increased and too safety by using existing load code calculation.

Microtab dynamic modelling for wind turbine blade load rejection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A dynamic model characterising the effect of microtab deployment on the aerodynamics of its base aerofoil is presented. The developed model predicts the transient aerodynamic coefficients consistent with the experimental and computational data reported ...

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Study on Wind Vibration Response and Coupling Effect of Transmission Tower-Line System Under Downburst

open access: yesIEEE Access
Downburst is a type of near-surface short-term destructive strong wind that significantly affects wind-sensitive flexible structures like transmission tower-line systems.

Wind-induced vibrations of structures : with special reference to tall building aerodynamics

open access: yes, 2013
This chapter examines the wind-induced vibrations of buildings and structures. In particular, the alongwind and the crosswind excitation mechanisms and response processes are discussed.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.
