Observation analysis of wind climate in China for 1971–2017 under the demand of wind energy evaluation and utilization

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
To meet the requirement of the wind energy resource assessment and utilization, the statistical characteristics of wind climate in the China mainland were analyzed in this study by using observation wind dataset for 1971–2017 from the China ...

Comparing self‐reported race and genetic ancestry for identifying potential differentially methylated sites in endometrial cancer: insights from African ancestry proportions using machine learning models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Integrating ancestry, differential methylation analysis, and machine learning, we identified robust epigenetic signature genes (ESGs) and Core‐ESGs in Black and White women with endometrial cancer. Core‐ESGs (namely APOBEC1 and PLEKHG5) methylation levels were significantly associated with survival, with tumors from high African ancestry (THA) showing ...

Targeting the AKT/mTOR pathway attenuates the metastatic potential of colorectal carcinoma circulating tumor cells in a murine xenotransplantation model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Band Depth Clustering for Nonstationary Time Series and Wind Speed Behavior [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We explore the behavior of wind speed over time, using the Eastern Wind Dataset published by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. This dataset gives wind speeds over three years at hundreds of potential wind farm sites. Wind speed analysis is necessary to the integration of wind energy into the power grid; short-term variability in wind speed ...

Time, the final frontier

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This article advocates integrating temporal dynamics into cancer research. Rather than relying on static snapshots, researchers should increasingly consider adopting dynamic methods—such as live imaging, temporal omics, and liquid biopsies—to track how tumors evolve over time.

The optimal wind speed product selection for wind energy assessment under multi-factor constraints

open access: yesCleaner Engineering and Technology
Wind energy is an important part of sustainable energy. Potential assessment of wind energy, based on an appropriate wind speed dataset, is crucial for wind energy development.

MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.
